It is funny to see the enthusiasm in investors as they tell about their new research tool, like it is the best thing since sliced bread. Like they have the inside or something. Here is my take on this. The truth is that there are hundreds if not thousands of companies that offer free stock market research on the Internet. As investors we always want information quickly and accurately. In today’s world it is very rare that one news source will have an exclusive story on any given corporation. It just doesn’t happen. I mean don’t get me wrong, one of them will roll out the story first but soon after, and I mean minutes, it will be part of the mainstream media. This is especially true for public companies and their financial reporting. Any time a public company announces a financial report, it does it through the SEC (securities exchange commission) and it is made public material to the investing world. All reports are the same. Earnings and sales are not better in one site than another, although that would be nice ;p. All the information is exactly the same. So with that said, to each his own. Find out which site works best for you. Which one is easy for you to understand and navigate and have confidence on the data because remember, it is all the same. I don’t want to mention a bunch so I will tell you one of the ones I like to use for fundamental analysis is YAHOO Finance. There are many others just as good. You will be able to see everything there. Revenues, earnings, profit margins, insider trades, etc.
Thank you,

On this video I discuss insider trading and the two definitions that define it. I also talk about how I am amazed that corporate insders keep attempting to get away with this activity even with all the attention that surrounds them.
